Innovative is seeking a bright and enthusiastic DevOps Engineer who can hit the ground running. We are rapidly expanding our operations team.  As such, there is enormous opportunity for learning, innovating and being involved in the development of new services. We need a hard-working, self-starter with a can-do attitude to join our growing team of systems professionals. You will be part of a core team delivering cutting-edge services to very large business customers and mass-market consumers on a global stage.

The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting new system environments and leading proposed fixes. They will have an aversion to manual tasks and an instinct for automating repetitive tasks into programs and scripts. They will have a solid knowledge of PKS/ AWS. Most importantly, they will be cautiously curious and seek out opportunities for innovation, learning, and responsibility.



  • Create, manage and integrate software to automate and secure public cloud environments;
  • Develop solutions that can support large capacity and scale reliability in a 24/7 environment;
  • Collaborate with the Information Security operational teams to support monitoring capabilities;
  • Monitor the system and respond to incidents to maintain system SLO/SLA, review and follow up production incidents;
  • You have packaged code in Docker containers and written Kubernetes manifests to deploy them to one of the major cloud providers;
  • You understand the meaning of infrastructure-as-code and have used frameworks like Terraform and Ansible to automate provisioning new cloud resources;
  • You are able to solve problems in distributed GNU/Linux systems and are comfortable tracing requests across applications, systems and networks;
  • When the perfect tool wasn’t available you wrote one yourself and taught others how to use it.
  • You know the difference between authentication and authorization and have horror stories to share about why shared passwords and unrestricted access are evil;
  • You will also work very closely with the engineering and AppSec teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above majoring in Computer Science or related fields.
  • 8+ years of relevant software and systems engineering experience, building mission-critical, scalable, highly-available systems
  • 5+ years of experience operating in a DevSecOps capacity
  • 2+ years of experience securing/hardening Kubernetes clusters
  • Experience working with Unix Linux systems from kernel to shell and beyond;
  • Familiar with system operation skills in Linux and network, has experience working with Unix Linux systems from kernel to shell and beyond;
  • Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures and server side systems
  • Experience in modern architecture technologies such as Python, Java, Postgres, GraphQL, and Kafka Experience in developing low-latency, secure, distributed systems, hosted in cloud platforms, such as PCF, PKS, AWS, Cloud Familiarity with modern compute paradigms including serverless implementations
  • Creative thinker who enjoys fast-paced environments and is able to work through ambiguity.
    Demonstrated strength in modern, decentralized DevOps practices
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes best practices, including service meshes, PSPs, and OPAs
  • Have built, optimized, and maintained CI/CD workflows
  • Experience in Configuration management
  • Experience securing public cloud deployments and infrastructure Understanding of Linux systems primitives, and employing them in a security context
  • Experience in Database or setting up data pipeline.
